One of the first book-style products connected to Virtual Ventures is my Project Planner: For Crochet & Knitting.
It was first published as a paperback through Amazon KDP on 15 January 2026.
At the moment, the book is published under Sulprax Studio, but the long-term plan is to bring future books and creative products closer to the Virtual Ventures name and style.
It is an 80-page project planner made for crochet and knitting notes, yarn details, hook or needle sizes, project progress, pattern changes, and future ideas.
It is not the final form of the Virtual Ventures book world.
But it is an important beginning.
Why a project planner?
Crochet and knitting projects can get messy quickly.
One minute there is a neat ball of yarn and a plan.
The next minute there are hook sizes, stitch counts, half-written notes, yarn labels, colour ideas, pattern changes, and a mysterious project bag that seems to have swallowed reality.
A planner gives all of that somewhere to go.
It can help track:
- project names
- yarn details
- hook or needle sizes
- pattern notes
- progress
- changes made
- gift ideas
- future makes
- finished project details
For anyone who makes a lot, those notes matter.
Why KDP?
KDP makes it possible to create a physical paperback without needing to order a large box of books upfront.
That is useful for a small creative brand because it lets the idea exist as a real book while the business is still growing.
It also opens the door to future books, such as:
- crochet planners
- pattern books
- themed crochet collections
- printable craft journals
- project trackers
- seasonal making books
The first planner is the seed.
Why I want to redesign it
The planner already exists, but I want future versions to feel more connected to the Virtual Ventures brand.
The current version was an important first step. It helped turn the idea into a real paperback instead of leaving it trapped in a notebook.
Now that Virtual Ventures has a warmer coffee-and-cream style, I want the planner cover and photos to feel like they belong to the same creative world as the website, blog, gallery, and future pattern books.
That means the next version may have:
- warmer colours
- softer handmade styling
- clearer brand connection
- better product photos
- a cover that fits the Virtual Ventures look
- possibly a matching printable or digital version later
The goal is not to pretend the first version never happened.
The goal is to let it grow up with the brand.
The bigger plan
This planner is not just a single product.
It is a step toward a full creative bookshelf for Virtual Ventures.
The dream is to make books and digital files that help makers plan, organise, create, and enjoy their projects.
Some books may be practical planners.
Some may be crochet pattern collections.
Some may become printable downloads.
The important thing is that they feel useful, cosy, and connected.
A small beginning
Every creative business starts somewhere.
For Virtual Ventures, this planner is one of those early bricks in the path.
It may be updated, reskinned, improved, photographed again, and eventually joined by more books.
But it already exists.
And that counts.
A finished thing is always better than a perfect idea that never left the notebook.
